چکیده
A formal graph system (FGS for short) is a logic program consisting of definite clauses whose arguments are patterns instead first-order terms. The referred to as rewriting rules. An FGS shown be useful unifying framework learning languages. In this paper, we show the polynomial-time PAC learnability subclass languages defined by parameterized hereditary FGSs with bounded degree, from viewpoint computational theory. That is, consider VH-FGSLk, Δ (m, s, t, r, w, d) class graphs treewidth at most k and maximum degree which variable-hereditary m rules having term arguments. parameters r denote numbers variables, atoms in body, each predicate symbol rule an FGS, respectively. w d number vertices hyperedge vertex has infinitely many even if all constants. Then prove that learnable m, d, constants except k.

Polynomial Learnability and Locality of Formal Grammars
We apply a complexity theoretic notion of feasible learnability called "polynomial learnability" to the evaluation of grammatical formalisms for linguistic description. We show that a novel, nontrivial constraint on the degree of "locality" of grammars allows not only context free languages but also a rich class of mildly context sensitive languages to be polynomially learnable. We discuss poss...
متن کاملThe PAC - learnability of Planning
In 6] Natarajan presented a framework for the speedup learning of search algorithms. Speedup learning solves the problem of using teacher-provided examples to guide the improvement of algorithm eeciency. In this paper we extend their results by identifying two classes, the emonomial and emonotonic domains. We show that, in the Natarajan model, the speedup learning problem is solvable for the se...
متن کاملExploring Learnability between Exact and PAC
We study a model of Probably Exactly Correct (PExact) learning that can be viewed either as the Exact model (learning from Equivalence Queries only) relaxed so that counterexamples to equivalence queries are distributionally drawn rather than adversarially chosen or as the Probably Approximately Correct (PAC) model strengthened to require a perfect hypothesis. We also introduce a model of Proba...
متن کاملPolynomial Time Approximation Schemes and Parameterized Complexity
In this paper, we study the relationship between the approximability and the parameterized complexity of NP optimization problems. We introduce a notion of polynomial fixed-parameter tractability and prove that, under a very general constraint, an NP optimization problem has a fully polynomial time approximation scheme if and only if the problem is polynomial fixed-parameter tractable. By enfor...
متن کاملPolynomial Time Algorithm Solving the Refutation Tree Problem for Formal Graph Systems
The refutation tree problem is to compute a refutation tree which is associated with the structure of a graph generated by a formal graph system (FGS).We present subclasses of FGSs, called simple FGSs, size-bounded simple FGSs and bounded simple FGSs. In order to show that the refutation tree problem for simple FGSs can be solved in polynomial time, we prove that the refutation tree problem for...
